Yes, COVID sucks. For so many reasons. But there’s a silver lining. If you’ve followed my Survival and Thrival series, you know that I’m a big fan of leveraging this opportunity to make things better! Come out of this thing stronger! On the surface it might not seem like it, but COVID-19 presents some unique opportunities for your company.

Let’s talk about talent. Under normal circumstances, you should be continually assessing your team. Do they have the ability to get you to the proverbial next-level? While it may sound harsh, you should still be assessing them, even now as they work from home! Now is the perfect time to upgrade your talent and set your team up for long-term success. While your competitors have hiring freezes in place or furloughed many of their employees – you’re about to double down and hire that A player that you couldn’t have afforded or attracted 8 weeks ago! Carpe diem!
